INNOVATION LEADS THE WAY WITH
TRIUM'S GEO-GPRS
Hanover, 24 February 2000: Mitsubishi Electric
France (MEF) has unveiled three upgrades to its Trium range of mobile phones: Geo-GPRS, Laser and
Luna.
Geo-GPRS is one of the first GPRS products to
be announced. Pushing the boundaries of wireless communication, Trium's
Geo-GPRS will have more superior capabilities than Geo-@ (WAP), which is
one of the very first WAP products to be launched.
Supporting Trium's pledge to deliver
innovative and technologically advanced products in the increasingly
competitive mobile communications marketplace, GPRS provides users with
continuous connection to the Internet. The higher data rates will offer an
improved service, allowing mobile phone users to interact with multimedia
Web sites and similar applications. GPRS will consequently ensure greater
usage of mobile data resulting in more work efficiency.
Laser and
Luna offer the consumer excellent value for money. These consumer
friendly, entry-level products are an economical yet stylish addition to
the highly successful Trium range of mobile phones.
Laser and Luna offer duplicate features that
include vibration alert, a scratchpad currency converter and optional data
and fax. Luna offers the user simplicity and charm with its sophisticated
subtle curves whilst Laser displays a sleek, modern
exterior.
Geo-GPRS, Laser and Luna all weigh in at a
lightweight 149g and boast 3 hours of talktime along with 150 hours
standby time. Additionally, Geo GPRS has an infrared window allowing
transferral of data to and from your PC without the use of wires.
Comments Mr Yamanaka, President Director
General of MEF: "Trium's use of leading-edge technology has delivered
aesthetically pleasing and effective communication devices. It is our aim
to consistently meet the needs of the European consumer through providing

TRIUM AT FOREFRONT OF
TECHNOLOGICAL CONVERGENCE
Hanover, 24 February 2000: Mitsubishi Electric
France (MEF) today proudly unveils two new products to compliment the
existing Trium range, (codename) XS and Mondo. Both offer the enhanced
combination of a phone and personal organiser rolled into one PDA, WAP and
the capacity to download text and images.
Mondo looks to the future with its metallic
finish and elegant curves and becomes the first handset in the Trium range
to converge two existing technologies. Combining a mobile phone with a
PDA, the Windows CE application adds a function that will appeal to the
busy professional who needs a practical yet superior phone. Windows CE is
based on the Microsoft Windows operating system but is designed for
including or embedding in mobile devices.
The entry-level XS is a very appealing,
diminutive handset with a changeable CLICK-ON face and battery cover.
Taking the design one-step further, XS has an innovative rubber casing
which provides the dual purpose of the option of dramatically changing the
aesthetic appearance of the handset whilst also serving as a shockproof
resistant cover. The rubber casing fits snugly around the contours of the
phone and comes in a range of matching colours.
XS and Mondo offer a multiplicity of easy to
use features. XS provides users with 130 hours of standby time and Mondo
supplies an impressive 200 hours. With 3 hours of talk time, data &
fax capabilities and a one-button, four-way mouse to perform all
functions, these two attractive handsets are welcome additions to the
stylish Trium range Comments Mr Yamanaka, President Director General
of MEF: "Since we launched Trium at last year's CeBIT, Trium has
established itself as a brand synonymous with style. This year, we are
committed to delivering further stylish handsets and ensuring that all new
additions to the range demonstrate our commitment to
innovation."
